Hospital Hump
Sometimes we do serious work that makes us laugh. This was the case at the disaster rehearsal at our own Kona Community Hospital and Kona International Airport at Keahole. Everyone was there, Homeland Security, Civil Defense, Fire department, Police department, Air ambulances, our finest EMTs and our own Air National Guard. We felt very safe and lucky to have them in any Big Island emergency.
We were hired to document the action and tell the story in photographs. We soon realized we were witnessing gut-busting humor, as the bodies were manually filled with air (photo not shown) and then loaded and unloaded to their assigned injury.
The photo lesson here is zoom in for a closer look & a laugh once in a while. Maybe not art, but funny to us. No disrespect intended.
