The gecko and the bee
As we blend from Thanksgiving and Hanukkah to Christmas, I thought a green gecko might be fun. We all have them around us morning and night here on the Big Island, eating our bugs and singing their gecko songs into the night.
This guy is challenging a honeybee that is grazing on a flowering princess palm; he sat there frozen, waiting for the perfect time to snap his lightning tongue at his meal. Only to be screwed by the sudden sound of my shutter release and motor drive. Bye Bye Bee, sorry gecko.Happy Aloha Hump Day,
