Allow me to share a love story with you. When it comes to my photography I truly love surprise proposals. It starts with a call from the groom, Adam, then a big bunch of secrete emails. Then I take over and start the script for his “Passion Play”.
Adam’s surprise proposal to Stevie included an exclusive flight with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters on the Big Island of Hawaii to a private waterfall on the Kohala coast.
I arrived at the airport early to meet the pilot and go over our script. I would be posing as a Pro photographer shooting the new landing location for the helicopter company.
Adam invited her sister Taylor to come along for the ride. While in the waiting area I offered to help her with her new camera where I was able to whisper her part in the script.
After a spectacular flight, then a James Bond style landing into a gorgeous private valley with an awesome waterfall, we walked up the luscious trail to this amazing setting. I say ” hey you guys want to pose for a shot”? Sure thing. I told her to face one way as he snuck up behind her, she couldn’t hear him over the sound of the falls as he took his position, her hair blowing back, perfect cloud cover, he lands on one knee with ring in hand. I tell her to turn around…… She screams out in joy, they kiss, YES! Perfection, Got the shot, Romance, Love love love.
