Aloha Hump Day,
While hiking the cliffs at Kuamo’o bay in Keauhou, Elvis sees this big old goat, Elvis bolts for the goat, goat goes flying, goat is now hugging the ledge up a 20’ cliff & staring Elvis down. I’m running right behind him over the rough terrain with the amazingly fast & sharp Canon EF- 10-22mm super wide angle zoom on a EOS 7D. I’m guessing it would be useless to call him back, so I chose to run & shoot. Such is the nature I guess of a true photographer.
Elvis stares, I click, then to my amazement he goes into his best crouching lion pose, I click, run and then out of nowhere WHAM!!!, the goat blast him head to head knocking Elvis on his ‘ōkole (butt). I freeze in shock – forget to click.
Elvis wanted more but we left the goat to his ledge and headed home, took a deep breath and one last click.
