Color blind photographer

There’s an Old School saying “What you see is what you get”  but what You see in images isn’t the same as what I necessarily see in the same image. Content is important contrast a must, color is nice but we don’t all see the same things the same way.
I was born color blind, this allows me to see things in a different tone, like the colors Red Green Brown and of course Pink Purple and Blues are the same sometimes as well. I just see them under a different label than you do. For added fun Yellow and Orange are basically the same just brighter or richer depending on the light. It’s always about the light in photography, the same is true with colors.
Other than traffic lights, dressing myself and not getting into the USAF TOP GUN school, it’s been no big deal. Luckily Hawaii has a “more color the better” fashion policy, anything goes, Yellow & Pink you name it.
Once in a while it’s fun changing things up. Infrared does this by messing with the “minds eye”,  changing what something should look like. You know the leaves and grass are Green but the Inferred turns them hot White. Fun for a color blind photographer.
Most brides wear white at their wedding and thank God the bridesmaids wear a different color or I would mix them all up.
Hope you enjoyed our Hump Day Story.
